Frequently Asked Questions

  • The cost of the session is $275 per child and $250 for each sibling. Each child requires their own booking.

  • With each child booked, you will recieve one unique high quality video of your child that is approximately 1.5 to 2 minutes in length, sometimes (often) a bit longer depending on the content that we are able to capture.

  • A discount is offered once the first booking is made for $250. Each additional booking on the same day is discounted 10% to $225.

  • A $50 non-refundable deposit is required for each booking. Deposits will only be refunded within 24 hours of booking. If you need to re-schedule your session, please give us at least one week’s notice so that we can have a chance to fill the spot, and so that we can transfer your deposit to a later date.

  • Each session is approximately 30 minutes, however we may not require the full 30 minute time slot to shoot the video.

  • This style of video lends itself well to ages 3 and up. There is no age minimum or maximum, however in our experience, kids under 3 aren’t typically as cooperative with the process. Having said that, with varying personalities, some older kids are very shy and some younger kids are quite outgoing. We do our best to get all kids to feel as comfortable as possible in the hopes of getting them to come out of their shell so we can capture their true selves. We love working with older children and teenagers too!

  • Videos are sent out approximately 4 weeks after the shoot.

  • We encourage you first and foremost to talk to your child before hand about what to expect during their session. Let them know that they will be sitting in front of a camera and there will be a lot of bright lights shining on them. They will feel like a movie star! Joe will be asking a series of questions and there are no wrong answers! The questions are designed in such a way to get your child talking as much as possible.

We encourage you to dress your child in any clothing that you choose. The purpose of these videos is to capture the true essence of your child, and part of that expression is in how they dress. Wear whatever makes them happy!

Make sure that your child's face is clean before you arrive. Moisturize their face, arms, and hands a day before the session, and come free of crumbs and boogies!

Hair is the same as clothing. Let your Little Sack of Sugar express themselves however they or you would prefer.

  • No. Videography differs from photography. We are unable to edit blemishes.

  • In our experience, kids typically express themselves more candidly when parents aren’t in eyesight. With that in mind, some kids and parents are more comfortable staying together, especially in unfamiliar circumstances such as this. While your child is being video’d, it is up to you and them if you'd like to be close by or to step away while they express themselves.

The main thing to remember is that video captures sound, so if you decide to stay in close proximity, it’s important to try to be as quiet as possible during the video process as editing out parent voices in the background can be very difficult and can greatly impact the quality of the final video. Allow Joe to build a rapport with your child, capturing their attention and focus.

With younger children and "runners" we can count on it being a team effort and a bit of a work out!

  • We video each child individually, however, exceptions can be made with siblings under the age of 3, if they’d like to make a cameo appearance in a siblings video. We can't guarantee group participation. Sometimes it's magic and sometimes it doesn't work out.

Exceptions can be made if a family wants to do a custom sibling video for a gift. Email for details and arrangements can be made.
